St. Eustatius is known worldwide for having some of the most pristine waters and reefs in the Caribbean. When you visit the Old Gin House, make sure you explore one of the 36 official dive sites around St. Eustatius.

The diving options are diverse with several unique habitats including walls, historic wrecks, reefs, macro dive sites, lava flows, boulders and rock outcroppings.

Choose from several underwater archaeological sites and coral-covered shipwrecks. 

One site in particular, called 'Blue Bead Hole', stands out. The blue beads found here are of historical importance for St. Eustatius. They were used as currency for enslaved people in the 17th century. The beads are the only artifacts that divers are allowed to bring up in certain areas.
